Story

Kunjithapaadham (Siva Karthikeyan) who irks of his name loves a school teacher Geetha (Priya Anand) by changing his name to Harish.He gets the job after renaming and also wins his love.Everything turns worse when Geetha knows Harish's real name.Kunjithapaadham decides to win in Chennai Marathon to get his lost identity ,job and also to marry Geetha.What is the fate decided to Kunjithapaadham forms the rest of the story.

Performances

Siva Karthikeyan performed well as Kunjithapaadham who suffers lowness in the society.His love making scenes with Geetha came out well.

Priya Anand played her role neatly.She is cute in her costumes and worth watchable performance on screen.

Nanditha has a short role performed her best and others given their best performance.

Technical Analysis

Anirudh Ravichander's musical scores are big asset and the background score is effective. Cinematography by Velraj is colourful with dazzling camera work in picturising songs. Dialouges are neat and Editing is script. Director succeded in narration of the story. Production Values ar rich.

Analysis

First half of Ethir Neechal starts with the narration of Kunjithapaadham struggling with his name with few plots of entertaining scenes. Film runs with the athletes problems in this episode. Priya Anand scenes with Siva Karthikeyan and kids are entertaining. 

Second Half carries dosage of emotional scenes where the pace of the film dropped a lot. But finally the pace takes a steady run and climax is engaging. Film has all entertaining elements which entertains audience till the end.

R.S.Durai Senthilkumar  gained the marks in his debutant film itself.
